I’m watching Dexter on Netflix when I take a break from writing and recording, and I’m just so overwhelmed with feelings. Sadness, disgust, anger, confusion, shock. Why am I so attached? I guess because that’s how the writer’s wanted it. But, hot damn, I can’t believe it. The fact that she shared the same perverse and graphic fate of Trinity’s other victims, makes me really irritated and frustrated lol. Over a TV show character. It’s just so unexpected and tragic. If the writer’s wanted a reaction, they got one lol. Peace.

Fuck Pulp fiction is the most overrated and stupid movie I’ve seen in a long time.

Quentin Tarantino/ Photograpy by Georges Biard

I wanted to give him a chance. I wanted to. I really did. But this guy, Quentin Tarantino has screwed me virtually every time I’ve sat down to watch his nigger-bomb-filled, violent-for-no-reason(not adding any elements to depict a clearer story) movies. I have hated his movies since Reservoir dogs. The dialogues are one-liners and out of a bad comic book the characters are always 2-dimensional; fuck. People raved about this movie in my childhood and after viewing, I was reminded why I put this movie off till my adulthood. I’m angry.

Quentin Tarantino Film Requirements

  1. Violent scenes of which looked like they were drawn into a script by a childish 17 year-old: CHECK!
  2. Obligatory Nigger-bombs: CHECK!
  3. Disjointed plot with incoherent story: CHECK!
  4. 1-dimensional characters with rambling pointless dialogues, which don’t enhance any intimacy with  the characters

The only Quentin Tarantino film I enjoyed was Inglorious Bastards. It didn’t have any of the requirements listed above. In fact each point above was reversed(well maybe requirement #1 wasn’t or 4, but good connected story, and well-paced in its transitions). I looked over the Internet and found another blogger who feels the same as I do.

Read some of it here:

It’s homicidal. People have repetitious, meandering conversations with an overabundance of words like ‘Nigger’ and ‘Fuck’ for no good reason. (Read his full article here!)

It’s sad how so many people suffer in silence

I was first enamored with Phillips craft when I saw the movie New York Synecdoche. It was an emotionally compelling movie detailing the journey of a director (played by Phillip Seymour)battling life’s travails and living in an existential crisis. The movie was so dark and depressing I never watched the film again. But the movie itself wasn’t a “bad movie.” It made me feel something-see something I never wanted to see in myself again. I think this is why deep down I admire actors and actresses who can throw themselves into roles reflecting on the bleaker aspects of the human condition. But as I heard Michelle Williams(another tremendous thespian who is no stranger to such harsh displays of life) say in an interview with NPR: to paraphrase “These roles can take a lot out of you.”
